HERE I GO AGAIN..
Sup, yo? What'd I miss??
Soooooooo...I discovered a whole new world on Instagram. A world of teachers who go gaga over Papermate FLAIR pens, planners, and pink pencil sharpeners. Who knew? O, by the way, I teach...Special Education.
Anywho, one of the teachers I follow on IG, Bradley from @bradleys_learning_paradise, started a challenge on DietBet. I think I may join in.
What have I got to lose...besides weight (Ha Ha. No pun intended). Besides, ringing in my 40th a few lbs. lighter...works for me.
I need to sleep on it though...

Just waiting...
...waiting to hit rock bottom.
Greetings Me So Hongry blog readers, those still hanging around (all 3 of you), at this time I come to you contrite, ready to confess & acknowledge my sins. I gained 11 lbs (probably more), and many many many many maaaaaaaaaaaaaaany days, weeks, months, etc. have transpired since, my last workout. Sigh.
I firmly resolve to perform my penance, and amend my wicked unhealthy ways...
...starting tomorrow.
I see and feel the weight creeping back on. For the most part my clothes still fit, but some days my clothes feel like this...
Yes, some days, I feel as though I am going to bust out of my clothes like David Banner as he transforms into the Hulk.
Sigh...
Like I said, just waiting to hit rock bottom...

I WILL FOLLOW...
The other day I went through the list of blogs I follow, and I discovered that a majority of the bloggers on my blog reading list dropped off the face of the earth. As a favor to me, please leave the name of your favorite blogs and I WILL FOLLOW!
U2's, I Will Follow...CLASSIC! That tune brings me back to days of fluorescent socks, tight rolled jeans, and mammoth hair and super sized bangs!
When I hear that song it reminds me of the movie, The Last American Virgin (TLAV)!
Yes, I just dated myself. Who remembers that nostalgic 80s film? I believe I Will Follow plays when one of the characters desperately struggles to raise money for his unrequited love's abortion. The 80s, gotta love it!
TLAV captures the essence of the 80's, and the soundtrack...TOTALLY TUBULAR!<---lol, some 80's slang!
Well, gotta motor<---more 80's slang! Before you motor, what's your favorite 80's movie and/or song? Leave me the name of your favorite blogs. Please and Thank You! Laters!

HELP WANTED: help ME, save ME, from MYSELF!
I weighed in last week, and I noticed, since July, 7 extra pound found their way BACK! I KNOW, I KNOW...
I think subconsciously I surrendered, and I continue to just go through the motions of pretending to TRY with my weight loss efforts. My recent efforts explains my lack of blog posts. Who wants to blog about failing? It gets old and kinda of self-defeating after awhile.
Well, help IS on the way!

I joined the Blogger blogging community in February of 2009! After two years of blogging I recently arrived at the following realization...

Serving up some leftovers...
For the weekends I decided to serve up "leftovers" and recycle my favorite posts. With my new busy, busy job, the weekends serve as a great opportunity to catch up on reading the blogs of others. AND...as most of you know, I fell sooooooo behind on reading your blogs. But then again, some of you may not know since you decided to unfollow me due to a lack of my visits and comments...hahaha.
Cut me some slack, my new job as a first grade teacher keeps me extremely busy. Check out my new digs:
A little blurry...I thrifted the blue bottles for around $2 bucks. The bottles hail from World Market
I ROCK...me at my goal weight!
My birthday bulletin board...I used denim fabric for the background.
How bout some chair flair?
I decided to drape my desk with this cheap ultra suede fabric from Garden Ridge.
My desk chotskies...
How cute is that lamp? 1/2 off at Hobby Lobby!
More desk chotskies...
Hooks...one for my sweater. You can freeze meat in my room...it's so cold.
Ordered form VistaPrint! VistaPrint ROCKS!
The word ranch...
My teacher bulletin board...I added some cowboy lights which are not pictured.
Vista Print
Made these number "posters" with my Cricut. I have nothing; so, with limited funds I make most of my materials.
My mom made the pillows.
My file cabinets with a little extra pizazz!
So, I intended for this post to start my first installment of " Serving up some leftovers," BUT I ended up writing a WHOLE new post...lol. Okay, next weekend then. I just wanted to show you why I spent much time away from blogging and your blogs these past few months. SO CUT ME SOME SLACK :-) On a good note, my classroom projects kept my mind and hands distracted from mindless eating snacking.
What do you do to keep from mindlessly grazing?

7 Links Challenge. . . The Me So Hongry Edition
As usual, my ADD led me to many many weight loss blogs today, AND then I stumbled upon Pro Blogger's 7 links challenge via John Is Fit. So, here goes...
If you follow my blog religiously, you already know from time to time I lose focus and momentum. And whad'ya know, this happens to be one of those time. So, I though it befitting that I click back to WHERE IT ALL STARTED...my first post...to remind myself why I choose to fight this battle of the bulge day in & day out!
If you follow my blog religiously, you already know from time to time I lose sight of why I blog and I get caught up in numbers: comments, followers, link-up participants, etc. To REMIND MYSELF WHY I pound away on my laptop sharing my thoughts, I often peruse my blog and read posts that I enjoyed writing the most.
If you follow my blog religiously, you already know from time to time my writer's voice loses direction and I sometimes blog about random nothingness, but every now and then I FIND MY GROOVE and produce a posts that encourages a great discussion.
If you follow my blog religiously, you already know I need to make a doctor's appointment to receive an official diagnosis for my ADD...lol. Blame the ADD for lack of comments on your blogs. See what happens is...I click on your blog, see other bloggers in your blogroll, and then proceed to blog jump.
While BLOG JUMPING I always read posts on other people's blogs that I wish I had written. Karen from Fitness: A Journey Not A Destination writes many thought provoking post that make me go hmmmm...
If you follow my blog (Do you see a pattern developing here...lol?)
If you follow my blog religiously, you already know I sometimes throw w(h)ine & cheese parties demonstrating my failure to see the bright side during times of woe. On occasion my inner Partridge Family/Brady Bunch shines through and I write a helpful post (even if the post features a one-legged stripper) encouraging bloggers to TURN THEIR FROWN UPSIDE DOWN.
If you follow my blog religiously, you may not know that on occasion I spend way too much time concocting creative post titles. At one time I thought about using song titles as post titles. But truth be told, simple is the way to go. Simple titles using keywords optimizes search engines and draws more people to your blog. I think.
Anyway...if I were to select a post title I am most proud of...hands down...
"Would you give a crackhead crack?"
Sarcastically (my brand of humor), I began each passage with, "If you follow my blog religiously..."
I know sometimes life gets in the way and following Ah Me So Hongry religiously, reading EVERY single one of my blog posts is extremely unrealistic and demanding. But I admit I do readevery almost every post of a few blogs I follow.
With that being said I leave a hilarious PANTS SPLITTING POST, I wish more people had read....
If you write your own 7 links post, please link up and share...

The Taco Bell Diet? Really?
I promise y'all...I aim to blog more regularly. Between chauffeuring my boys and the dance crew around the city, and my socializing, I struggle to find quality blogging time. Pictured below...some highlights of events robbing my blogging time:
My oldest a.k.a. BB Boy Dom Bomb hitting a freeze after a performance!

The boys clowning around...
My youngest BB Snake Eyes clowning around with HE Buddy.

Me...celebrating a co-workers birthday

Of course I threw in a pic of me showcasing my signature pose..."hands on the hip and let the backbone slip"...BAM!

Everyday something blog worthy occurs and I scribble the details in my blog notebook. Then...night falls and bed time arrives before I get the opportunity to blog my thoughts. Right now, 10 different blog posts swirl around in my head trying to bust out! Where to begin...
The other night while watching TV, a Taco Bell commercial aired. Basically, this lady starts jibber-jabbing about some Taco Bell Drive Thru Diet...really? Soooo, you mean to tell me, if I eat the Taco Bell Fresco tacos, I can expect to slim down like Christine (the lady in the commercial)? Whatever Christine...gimme a break! I tell you one thing, Taco Bell waited until the most opportune time to unveil their "drive thru diet." That fresco menu is far from new, but what better time to promote it... at the start of the New Year when the New Years Resolutioners are in full swing.
Whateva TACO BELL! I got your "drive thru diet" right here...BAM!

Of course, I made my own homemade chips using the Thin Mission Corn Tortillas 1pt. for 2 tortillas...OLE! I covered my chips with a 1/2 cup of pinto beans (2pts.) made by my Mom, lettuce (0 pts.), 1 huge Roma tomato (0 pts.), HEB salsa, and 14 oz of cheese (1pt).
